Abstract In our research we have discussed the following problems in the frames of the mezo scale range of the gas impurities distribution in the atmosphere: calculation of the gaseous impurity moderate quantity discharge, which density is higher, than the air density, and the problem of discovery of the ‘active’ gas concentration distribution in the atmosphere. The concentration distribution is modeling by the turbulent diffusion equation, in which the determining function consists of two functions, accordingly describing the ‘heavy’ and the ‘active’ gas qualities.

Abstract The research paper is focused on the development of mathematical model of the drops movement in the gas flow in the mass transfer apparatus multi-stage channel. Dynamic characteristics of the gas in the laminar regime found by numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations. Gas velocity in the turbulent regime found the solution of the Reynolds equations. Solvability of the mathematical models and convergence of the used numerical systems has been illustrated.
